Hi5 Leaders

CriminalRecordChecks

Every volunteer at Living Springs Christian Fellowship is required to complete and submit a Criminal Record Check from your local police detachment.
Each person must go to the station in person with ID and fill out the forms.
There is a fee (varies depending on police force & location - call ahead) which must be paid CASH ONLY (to be reimbursed by the church).
Also, volunteers must bring with them a letter stating their involvement at the church printed on LSCF letterhead (download your copy below - "CRC").
PLEASE COMPLETE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS A 2-3 WEEK PROCESSING PERIOD

Database Access

Instead of keeping a volunteer contact database on this site, we encourage every volunteer to go to Planning Center Online and update your profile to include your contact info.  This can then be accessed by other volunteers if they need to contact you.

In addition, PlanningCenterOnline.com (see below for more details) is the new scheduling system we are using for all weekend service ministries.  Please be sure to register and log in to familiarize yourself with the site.  Our goal is to have everyone use the site to inform themselves of all scheduling and contact info and to use it to help the administration smoothly plan every area of volunteer ministry.

Planning Center Online

Picture
As previously announced, we have migrated to an online planning site (planningcenteronline.com) that enables every ministry of LSCF to schedule volunteers for weekend services.  The online system shows who is scheduled on which weekends, as well as who is not available for any given service and notifying leaders of scheduling conflicts.  Contact info is also available.
We urge every volunteer to respond to the invitation email sent to you (if you haven't already), and register yourself with a password of your choice.  This allows you to log in to the site at any time to view the schedule and to block off specific dates you know you cannot help.
In addition, it is crucial that volunteers respond to PCO scheduling emails with "ACCEPT" or "DECLINE", which helps pastors and coordinators know who will be there on any given weekend.  When volunteers don't respond, we are left wondering (and stressing) about who will be in attendance to teach and care for the children.

Teams

Picture
_With the influx of new volunteers to kids ministries at LSCF (Thank You, Lord!), we have been able to assemble teams with enough people to handle the amount of children in each group.  Our intent is to have teams remain together until at least June 2012 so that members can get to know each other better and find out how to work together best using their abilities and gifts.

Typically, teams will be scheduled on a 4 week rotation, depending how many teams are available.  There will be variations to the rotations because of scheduling conflicts, but we do our best to ensure that everyone always has 2-3 weeks off in between.

Each team will have a leader, called a "shepherd", who will give direction to that team.  This includes, among other things,  delegating responsibilities and ensuring members have the service outline and any relevant information/materials to help them complete their responsibilities with success.
